MAYOR BYRON W. BROWN, BUFFALO BILLS CORNERBACK JOSH NORMAN ANNOUNCE BUFFALO BUSINESS BLITZ SUPPORTING LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES

Josh Norman partners with City of Buffalo to create fund supporting local small businesses impacted by COVID-19 during holiday season

Buffalo, NY – Buffalo Bills All-Pro Cornerback Josh Norman, in partnership with Mayor Byron Brown and the City of Buffalo is pleased to announce Buffalo Business Blitz, an initiative to provide funds to Buffalo-area businesses. With $25,000 of his own money, Josh Norman is providing grants of up to $2,500 each to small businesses impacted by COVID-19 restrictions this holiday season. In addition, Norman is challenging the local business leaders, philanthropists, teammates, Bills Mafia, the residents of Buffalo to join him in this initiative by donating to Buffalo Business Blitz. During the month of December, businesses and individuals can contribute to Buffalo Business Blitz by visiting here. Qualifying businesses and entrepreneurs should visit here to register for more information.

Josh Norman said, “I’ve been a lot of places in my lifetime, and Buffalo is one of those cities where you instantly feel at home. Witnessing how Buffalonians support each other makes me want to do as much as I can for this City. Small businesses are the heartbeat of this place. Unique shops, great food, and awesome service means so much more when you know you are supporting your neighbors and friends.”

“Supporting small businesses is critical right now. I didn’t just want to cut a check and walk away,” Norman continues. “I wanted to do something that would make a difference for the small business owners who are hurting the most right now. I’m calling on local business leaders and philanthropists to add to our donation so we can support as many small businesses as possible. Also to the Bills Mafia, I’ve seen what you are capable of. I want you to give what you can because without these small businesses, Buffalo is just not the same secret.”

The City of Buffalo and the Beverly Gray Business Exchange Center will support this initiative with technical support.

Mayor Brown said, “Josh Norman continues to be a leader in our community. He cares about the health,
safety, and prosperity of our residents and continues to find new ways to be an active member of Buffalo. My administration has worked tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to make sure our small businesses have all the resources they need to operate safely and according to New York State’s guidelines. These funds will ensure that more businesses will have the resources they need during these difficult times. I echo Josh Norman’s call to action for business leaders, philanthropists, Bills mafia, and the citizens of Buffalo, to contribute to Buffalo Business Blitz so we can assist as many businesses as possible.”

Donations will be collected by Josh Norman’s not-for-profit foundation Starz24. Interested small business owners can visit here to receive more information. Donations can be made by visiting here. Please donate by December 26th. More information on eligibility will be available by signing up online and funds will be disbursed throughout January, 2021.
